About the event

Join Artistic Director Emil Thomas for an intensive one-day workshop on the fundamentals of theatrical directing. With a B.A. in Theatre Directing from Ball State University and an M.F.A. from The Theatre School at DePaul University, Thomas brings a wealth of experience to guide emerging and seasoned directors alike. This hands-on clinic will cover the essential elements of directing, including script analysis, blocking, actor communication, and staging dynamics. Participants will have the opportunity to develop and direct a scene with live actors, gaining practical insight into the collaborative process of bringing a story to life on stage. Whether you're looking to refine your craft or explore directing for the first time, this workshop offers a valuable deep dive into the art of theatrical storytelling.
